“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind He will accept. When you think of what He has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect His will really is.”
Romans 12:1-2

In reading this scripture, all of the sudden something jumped out at me that I had never seen before. We are told not to copy the behaviors of the world. We have to let God transform us into a new person! What does that mean? I believe by knowing scripture and letting scripture be the standard for our lives, we allow it to change our hearts and the way we live. When we pray and spend time with the Lord, we get to know His heart and let His love change us into who He wants us to be.

After all this, it says THEN we will know what His will is and what He wants us to do! We cannot just expect to ask God something and automatically get an answer without spending time with God and without changing ourselves to try to match Jesus. When we want to know what the Lord desires of us, and want to see how good and pleasing His will is, we must allow Him to change our hearts and the way we are living our lives.

GOD IS ALWAYS GOOD!
